love stocking time with the Aldous family
I started it last year, our first married Christmas together. I put together a fun stocking of “love” items to let him know I loved him. This year, he surprised me with my own love stocking, and I totally loved it! He put it in this tiny little VS giftcard box and told me not to be fooled by the outside

A night of love! I was smitten before I even opened it!
Dinner at Outback (one of my favorite treats!) and dessert at Yogurtland (classic!)!!
Movies at our favorite (free!) theater and a VS giftcard…love him
He had it specially-made (see how extra, extra long it is!) and I am still amazed at what a creative, beautiful gift he created. Every once in a while, I’ll open it up, unfold it, and then put it back in the box
feelin’ it.

Styled Shoot at Zion Ponderosa

I had the wonderful opportunity of being the paper designer for a styled shoot at Zion Ponderosa at the Wild Sage Wedding venue. It was a crazy, wonderful, freezing and amazing shoot. Brooke, from Brooke Shultz Photography, did an amazing job (helloooo, pretty pictures!) and nothing would have been possible without my dear sister-in-law and event coordinator, Kourtney Aldous.
The theme was rustic elegance, and the great thing about a styled shoot? I get to design whatever I want, however I want it! I loved playing with both sides of the theme, especially the textures on the printed products. I combined a luxe paper with a silk organza piece and tied with twine. Love!
Also, did I mention my amazing husband helped coordinate the vintage “Penny Candy” candy bar, via Blickenstaffs? The weekend was truly a family event
over the weekend…

spent the weekend in Arizona, playing mom while the parents were away.
it was wonderful! I love these kiddos! we had our own movie theater, complete with take-out Panda Express and candy on the floor. scootered at the park, visited with old friends.
plus. I got to sleep in my parents bed, which is a California King and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!
but coming home was also a highlight. is it lame to say I missed my husband after three days? yes, I know it’s gushy and eewey and mushy. but it’s my blog. I missed the kid.
plus.

blog lovin’.
